Kamryn Cendana - 1st Runner-Up - Photogenic Award
1.If you could make one rule that everyone in the world had to follow, what would it be?
I’ve always wanted to learn more about my heritage and my family. With that said, as a Filipina, I would love to live in the beautiful Philippines! I would be immersed in culture and be able to take my message overseas to spread self-worth and self-love.
2.If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
A few years ago, my family and I snowmobiled into our cabin. It was freezing so we started a fire and I opened a cabinet to grab matches, but instead, a squirrel jumped out! My sister and I jumped onto the table while my parents tried to shoo it out, but it ran upstairs into the bedroom. I could hear my mom screaming until it finally ran outside! I will never forget that moment!
3.When do you feel a child or teen becomes an adult?
It would be a dream come true if I were to be crowned! My mission as Miss Teen International would be continuing to educate teens that suicide is not the answer, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I will strive to save lives that otherwise would have ended it if were not for the message of Project Semicolon, “your story is not over.”
4.What do you feel you have learned in life that will be the most useful?
Beauty is finding the light within yourself and feeling that you have a reason to be on this earth. I believe someone who is truly beautiful is kind and confident. She does not fail to remind others that they too are beautiful. Surface beauty is what the world perceives, but it is shaped by the person inside.
